Now that Sony has started shipping the TH55 does anyone think that BestBuy may start shipping earlier than 10/4???

Their website still shows shipping 3/4 - 3/9 of 2004.

I don't think it'll take 'til October... I would expect to receive mine in March. :)

Clearly Sony wants some advantage so it's unlikely that BB will ship before (I assume you meant) early March 2004.

I don't mind. Time is money & in this case, it's more than $90. I can wait.:)

That said, I'd simply *love* to be proved wrong.;)

Well, for me it's actually about $56 difference thanks to taxes but I'd still rather the $56 be in my pocket than Sony's...;)

I just sent BestBuy an e-mail asking if they're possibly going to be shipping sooner since it seems that Sony has moved the date up? Hopefully I'll get some sort of reply tomorrow. I'm not hopeful of any change but what the heck? It's worth asking...

Just called BB Customer Service and they claim they had not idea that other stores had the Clie in stock and were selling them already. Maybe if all of us who pre-oprdered called their Customer Service Number and asked about this they'll release the TH55 sooner? Just a thought...
