I would assume that registered users will get this by email shortly (Lubak creates seperate version for unregistered and registered users)?

i would think so. this version allows users to set fonts for EACH program! so you can have a separate font for your DateBook and another font in the LAUNCHER. Awesome implementation and great idea.

Now, what fonts are you all using?? Would love to see some screenshots, if possible. I currently am using the Sans Serif 18PT, but I have how check boxes are missing the bottom line in programs like CLIE FILES, etc.

I LOVE this program. It's first class all the way. Makes reading news & things with AvantGo on my Clie sooooo much more enjoyable than the Micro-thin font Sony includes.

That's my only problem with the smaller fonts and that I lose the very bottom part of a to-do like box or icon.
I guess it's the individual app dictates the outcome.
But at least we can choose which apps the font settings are applied to now.

There seem to be options in "Preferences" to correct that.

Which option? I have all the options checked and nothing fixes it.

Try: 'Table.c' bugs correction - and/or - White spaces in menus correction

Problem is in that box or icons are designed for 22 pixels fonts.

I use Sans Serif 20 Bold for all apps except Agendus Pro. For it I like Comic Sans 20. Gives my datebook and To-Dos a classy look, something I'm personally lacking!

Cool, I understand lubak, Thanks!
Great job also!
But otherwise there is no option to change this, correct?

i like the option to set fonts for each program, since i love my Crosswords 365, but this program cannot display any fonts lower than 20 point and thus crashes my machine each time i used to access it with a smaller font size, using ver. 1.11. but now, viola! i can go to the program without having to first change to a different font, cause it's already set!
thanks Lubak!

Now that I am about to be part of the OS5 camp I guess I'll need to buy Fonts4OS5 to replace my Font Hack.
Any chance you'll be adding Swiz to the fonts list? I've been using that font for over a year now and hate to think I'll have to give it up.

Are Swiz fonts HiRes? Any URL to it?

OK, I need some help. I've selected different fonts for different apps, but the same font shows for everything. Although in Fonts4OS5, the list shows different fonts for different apps. I'm obviously missing a step somewhere but can't figure out what it is. I feel like an idiot but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

hherbzilla, did you deactivate your old version of Fonts4OS5 before putting this new one on? If not, you might try deactivating this new version, do a reset, then delete the new version and reinstall. Also note that you should install the versions of the fonts that came with v2.0.

I love this new version!! I'm using SansSerif22 font as my default, but I use ComicSans20 for DB5 and ZL and TimesRoman22 for PalmReaderPro.
Also, just wanted to point out for those that didn't notice it that you can call up the graffiti command bar and hit the new Fonts4OS5 logo in the bar, and it will take you to a screen to change the font for the app that you were in. Very cool if you're in an app and decide that it would look better in a different font!!

I reinstalled and now it's working.
Have you noticed that McPhling takes on the font of the last used application? A little annoying but not a big deal.

Just got it too. I'm still using Tungsten 22 as my main font, but I am also using Tahoma 20 for Snappermail and Times New Roman 22 for PalmReaderPro (thanks rldunn for the tip on that)

I did not notice the command bar feature until you mentioned it.
Since it goes back to the app after you make changes and close this option does indeed come in very handy.
Thanks for pointing that out.

Yup...they are hi-res, designed for the Clie as I understand it.

Adding to the "feeling like an idiot" segments of this thread, but I don't see it.
Thanks for any clarification!

You should see a big blue F together with a small red os5 together after making the command bar stroke.
(also make sure it's activated in your Fonts4OS5 options)

You can count on my order in a few weeks...maybe sooner if my nearest Circuit City gets the TH55 in AND does a price match for me.
Thanks so much for getting the fonts released, and fast!

I used PalmGear. The download after purchase was just a text file. Does Lubak send the actual upgrade via an email after he gets the info from PalmGear? Sorry for the silly question.... it's a low brain ability day.

Not a big deal, but on my NX70V the command bar option isn't working. I have it checked on, but when I do the command stroke I get the command bar with nothing in it. Thoughts?

When the Command Bar is open try tapping on the Right Corner of the Command Bar...It's possible that the Icon just isn't showing. I get this problem from time to time with BTToggle.

No dice, but thanks for the idea. I'll just make the changes directly through the program and maybe the next update with fix it.

I just loaded fonts4os5 on my clie ux50 into RAM with the sony 22 font set.
I am receiving fatal errors (not good) everytime I press select to change the font. I erased fonts4os and the problem disapeared. A week later I tried again and same thing happened. Has this happened to anyone?

I've noticed a small problem with v2.01. If I do a soft reset all the fonts are default until I open the Fonts4OS5 app. Anybody else see this???
Otherwise - Great Job - I really like having different fonts for different apps.

no problem with that on my UX50
I ditched the previous version when I discovered that some words disappeared in Palmreader Pro. Dunno what caused it but removing it made the prob go away too. Sound familiar? I'm reluctant to try it again because of that.

I paid for an upgrade a week ago and have yet to hear from the developer. I ordered thru Palmgear and have sent emails to both. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm reluctant to try it again because of that. THe problem here is that Palmreader paginates based on the current font. When Fonts4OS5 changes the font, PRP doesn't realize this, so it displays the new fonts in the space previously allotted. If that means there's not enough room for a word on a line or at the end of a page, it just doesn't display. You can get around this by going to a file manager and deleting the PRP file for the book you're reading that has an 'Ex' extension. For example, I'm currently reading a book called 'The Codex', so I have TheCodexEx and TheCodexKx in RAM. Delete the Ex version (the Kx version has your unlock codes, etc, so don't delete that one, or you'll have to reenter them). Then go to PRP, and it will repaginate and you'll be fine from here on (at least until you change your Fonts4OS5 font again).

HA! leave it to Rod to be able to explain this. I wrote tech support and when I got a reply about the EX and KX files, I was told that "PalmReader needs these files to work" Talk about being patronized...Anyway thank you Rod:)
