Does anybody know if the palm OS version is upgradable on the TH-55. With info on palm OS 6 (Cobalt) slowly coming out, will one be able to upgrade to this OS on the TH-55 when it becomes available.

It is always a possibility, but as no one has any idea if any of the Sony devices will be upgradable, it's hard to tell if this one will be. Chances are unlikely. But maybe Sony will turn a new leaf.

Well, if the TH55's ROM is big enough it will TECHNICALLY be possible. But again, it's all up to Sony. Anyone know the size of the TH55's ROM space?
From PalmInfocenter:
" When?
As for when to expect the first handheld running Cobalt? The new OS already shipped to developers this past December. My safe estimate would be in the fall of this year, though it is possible something could arrive before late summer timeframe. What about upgrades? Palm OS Cobalt only requires 16MB of ROM space to reside in, so it is theoretically possible to upgrade amy of the current high end handhelds on the market today that have a flash-able ROM greater than 16MB. However it is up to the devices manufacturers themselves to make such an upgrade available for specific handhelds. "

Yeah, it's 32MB--plenty of room.
PalmInfoCenter has an article up about Cobalt that estimates it'll be late summer or fall before the OS gets here. That will be disappointing to some who have speculated the new devices will be here in the spring.

I have heard from other people in the know to expect them Spring or Summer so it's anybody's guess. Even the CEO of PalmSource said Summer so...
