All Sony has to do is give the machine an extra 16 megs of RAM... or free up the other 5 at the very least... that would help a lot of people into being convinced to buy the NZ90...

I suppose Sony is holding out to make people spend a little more, have to sell the handheld back where they bought them, or on eBay, that they bought thinking that they might have to wait longer until a newer better Clie comes out...

Personally, I think that the PIM apps on the Clie, while simple and elegant, are limited and a little bland looking, especially considering the device. Yes, I could add Agendus or something else, but that requires RAM... of which we are in short supply, as everyone knows.

1 MB of RAM will always be reserved for the OS to operate so they can't free that up.... the other 4 are in the heap for programs like Movie Recorder and NetFront.

Putting in another 16 MBs may not necessarily be possible without tweaking the current OS. Given the price of memory, I'm sure the thought of putting in another 16 hasn't crossed the minds of those designers in Tokyo.
