Boy...wouldnt it be great if OS6 is just like Windows3.1 more than 10years ago. Win3.1 uses less than 10mb of HD and little ram.

if Windows3.1 were installed into my ux50, my ux50 would be running like faster than hell.

wouldnt u agree?? :D

No I don't agree. If I wanted the power I can use my laptop, why bother with the outdated 3.1

The reason I use a ux50 with palmos is because I just want to read some ebooks and do my appointments and play some games on it.

How much space does OS6 take? I thought it could fit on an 8MB ROM chip. Even if it doesn't, it's gotta be around the same size if not less. And RAM?? How much RAM does the OS take. Not really that much. Most is used for storage, only the heap space is used like the RAM on a PC.

Hi outie, windows3.1 can do all the books and appointments too.

Personally windows3.1 is much better than all OS's and win3.1 can play doom's games and much more!

From Brighthand Cameron:

Upgrades

Releasing upgrades for current models isn't up to PalmSource. Instead, each Palm OS licensee will need to decide if it is willing to take the standard version of Cobalt and customize it for each one of its models.

The standard EFIGSJ version of the operating system, which includes support for six different languages, fits in a 16 MB ROM.
