View Full Version : Fix the playlist prob with repeating phantom unplayable mp3s?

Has anyone been able to solve the problem?

I currently have about a dozen phantom mp3s on my AudioPlayer playlist, I think they started when I accidentally put a VBR mp3 on it, or something nonstandard.

The biggest prob for me is that it put new additions to my memory stick on the BOTTOM of the list, after all those phantom mp3s, which error out, so when it plays, it gets stuck on those. :(

Geez I gotta learn try stuff before posting. I'm sorry.
I just ran a windows file-system error-checking utility, and I told it to fix any errors.
And now I have just *1* phantom mp3! And I can live with that!!
(altho if anyone really knows how to get rid of it, that'd be cool)

Oh well, I guess now it's in the archives for the next poor soul. :)

I thought if file-checking helped, reformatting might cure it altogether. But windoze froze during the reformatting.

And now my memory stick can't be read by the clie or windoze or linux!!

Any idea how to fix it?? I even tried it formatting it thru a dos-prompt, but I got a IOCTL error. :(
