Thanks and major props to all the nices folks here who helped me ages (days) ago get my NX70v CF/MS and movies issues worked out.

Anyone interested in coding up a Windows app might like this concept I freely offer (and would like to be part of designing/testing if a coder wants).

Since I can only carry part of my library on MS with me - it would be VERY handy to have a simple file manager that could maintain a library of the movies on my Windows computer and interact directly with the movies on my MS (through either Data Import or a Card Reader) to allow me to have a simple system for moving movies to and from the card (the MQVs/MOVs/MPGS along with their MAIs).

Something that could keep the movies sorted in categories optionally. Could read the .MAI files for informational displays on Windows.

It would be... nice!

Has anyone already taken the time to work on reverse engineering the .MAI file format? So far it looks like the first 150 or so bytes are for weird information (including Movie Title), and the rest can be either stuff that Image Converter puts in or a JPEG image, or both...

If nobody has done it..., I might find some time to work on a Plain C program to rip this stuff out of the .MAI... Might be usable somewhat if a filemanager is written... Sounds interesting, but I've so far had very few problems just organizing MOVxxxxx into folders...
