View Full Version : Audio Player's Volume Problem

I tried searching the Forum but I can't find anything about this problem.
My AudioPlayer's volume goes up only about 75% of the way. -- It doesn't go all the way up.
One day I used it and it magically let me turn it up all the way, but it's never done it again.
Is there any other volume setting hidden somewhere else?
Please help.
Thanks.

Could be another corrupted preferences problem.
Get a Perferences editing program (something like Filez or SysTool) and search for any Prefs entries belonging to MSAp and delete them.
NB: I'm assuming you have some idea of what I'm talking about here - if you don't, DO NOT proceed - you can really bugger up your PDA if you do this wrong. Consider yourself warned! ;)

There is a setting to prevent you from hurting your ears through excessive volume when using the earbuds; it is a toggle called AVLS.
You can see it when audioplayer is set to the the single song-display mode (as opposed to the list mode which shows all songs in the play list) - it has Track, Time, album only. In the lower right is the AVLS toggle (next to the BASS toggle). WHen it is enabled (orange), you can only go up to 75%. When not enabled (black), you can turn volume all the way up.
Betchya that is the problem.

yup AVLS ... the toggle button beside the BASS toggle button ... stands for "Automatic Volume Leveling System" ... or something like that .... :D

I'll bet that's what it is, too!
Good Luck!
