I have a suspiscious feeling mine was already opened before I got it from Best Buy

No big deal as long as it works, (still waiting fo rmine to get charged), but kind of pisses me off that it was opened already

My battery was installed, but the SONY factory seal on the box was still intact. It took about 4 hours for a full charge.

yeah i did see the sony seal, one thing i noticed there were two seals together, but no biggie.

I know bb could not have put another sony seal on it, since they dont get extra

other thing I noticed is when it is in closed mode the nz90 doe snot close totally flush together, like there is a small gap between the lcd screen and the keybaord.

Anyone else have that?

Usually I dnt care but this thing is so big as it is, I dont want anymore extra space.

Mine has an itty bitty gap, but not even noticable unless you look really close.

I almost bought one from the CC in Cranston, RI, I even had them open it as a display, just in case. While I was playing with it, it was able to shut all the way in closed mode, but had a slight gap in tablet mode. I don't think it mattered since I couldn't find a spot that it was hitting against.

Either way, I decided to save a $100 bucks and ordered it from datavis.com.

My unit came with the battery already installed. I have gotten many ohhs and ahhs today here at work. But, most everyone here is older then I am and can not fathom spending the amount of money on a PDA. Most do not even have a PDA unless it is given to them by the company.

I have found the build of the unit to be superb and it's performace this far to exceed my expectations.

well just turend it on a few minutes...and great news everything seems to work and no dead pixels.

but man this stylus really sucks.

I can deal with the cradle, but this tylus has to go.

I pulled out my cross stylus instead feels so much better.

My battery was installed as well. I noticed that the instructions read to install the battery as part of the initial set-up. But, obviously, they decided to preinstall it.

Just got mine less than 1/2 hour ago and the battery was preinstalled. Box was sealed so I'm good.

I've got the gap too but you gotta look for it to see it.

Ditto on the stylus. Not liking that thing.

I recieved my Nz90 straight from SonyStyle only had one potected seal witch wasnt broken, and my battery was preinstalled. No dead pixels. But the battery life SUCKS. I cant even use the camera very often. At a 100% battery life the camera brings it down a lot. How much does your camera drain your battery? Just curious I might have a bad battery or something.

Congrats LITTLESIX! Is this a great PDA or what?

The only thing I like about the stylus vs the NX is that when you have the Clie open, now the stylus justs lifts right up unlike the NX where you had to take it out before putting it in the cradle (which I usually forgot) or take it back out of the cradle and remove the stylus and return it.

BTW, my battery also came installed.

When you get it all charged up, tell us your impressions.

Good luck:D :D

I have found a soution for the stylus problem, put a small amount of glue on the tip and insert it into the NZ, then use a different stylus :D

Ok - mine's been charging for the last 5 hours now. When I pull it off the cradle I have 100% charge. Put it back on the cradle, it goes light orange and stays that way. The indicator hasn't gone off yet.

Supposed to be like this?

yea don't take it off until the light goes off. Each time you take it off, it has to recharge for a bit. My experience with electronics tho.

My battery was preinstalled, and so was the battery on the other NZ90 that CC had. (I made them open the one so I could see it and play with it, then I bought the one that was still unopened and they used the opened one for a display).

The battery is an issue- it drains rapidly, especially if you take any pics with the flash.

I also have a little gap when it's in turned around to screen mode, but it isn't hitting on anything, and isn't very noticable. Except for the flimsy way it sits on the charger, it's a well built and well balanced design.

Mine does the same thing.
