Hi everybody,

I am a newbie to my NX70V and I want to sync my emails with it so that I can read them on the clie.

Since I have no idea how to to that, I searched trough the forum.
All threads I found say something about Outlook as mail client.

Do I really need that to get it working?

On my PC, I am using Mozilla's mail client, and on my Mac, I use
the standart Mail application.

How do I sync my mail with these???:confused:

On my Clie, I have cliemail installed.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers
Livia

Okay Livia are you ready??

I assume you have a Windows Desktop PC?

Down in the lower right hand corner near the clock there is the Hot Sync Icon correct?

put your mouse cursor over it and right mouse click and you will see a sub-menu with few selections, go to Custom and thee you can change all your Sync options.

Go to clie mail and check to see what it is set at by clicking on the "change" button on the right and set it all for your e-mail program and make sure you select it as default for syncing all files (both directions Pc to Clie and Clie to PC) to the Clie and save and then preform a HOT sync and you should have all your UNREAD or current mail form the last day in your in-box. Keep tweaking them till it does what you want it to do.

I do it every morning so I can read my e-mail on the way to work and just so you know you can reply in Clie mail and then when you get home sync and it will send them out through your e-mail program. If you have problems READ everything carefully and you will get it in no time. I had to try a few different settings before I got it to work for me. You can even have it load your attachments to your Clie in-box.

I hope this helps and Good Luck.

Thx mrSONYman!

I think the PC won't be too much of a problem with your advice, but at the time being, I rather need to sync the mails from my mac :(

I looked for any possiblity to set the stuff you mentioned on the mac, but I can't find anything. There is only some conduit settings window which shows the operations that are being performed when I sync. But no mail there :( And no possibility to add mail.... got no idea how to do that.... I got the settings on the Clie, but nothing on the mac :-(

Do I have to download something from somewhere??
Any hint is highly appreciated!
Thanks :)

I am not aware of any syncing solutions on a Mac. It`s hard enough to do with a Windows PC (and the results never made me happy).

Have you thought about IMAP? IMAP is designed to be used with different clients accessing one mailbox. Every change you make with a client will be reflected in your mailbox on the IMAP server.

As for a email client for the Palm OS there is VersaMail (and hopefully soon SnapperMail).

Hey,
just got a copy of AppleMail conduit 0.5 in my Mac-magazine.
It was a little bit tricky, but I managed to be able to sync my mail to my clie...

To bad it is a german magazine (Mac Life) where it was in :(

So I have no idea whether it can be found in any international
mac mag :(

Thanks for all your hints anyway.
