Does anyone who uses PalmVNC 2.0 find that it is excruciatingly slow? It seems like I spend more time looking at the "Recieving Data" bar than manipulating the host computer. I know VNC works fine from computer to computer, but when I go from computer to NX70v it slows way down. Any suggestions?
(P.S. I'd rather not have Win-Hand and VNC running at the same time, seeing as how I use VNC for other purposes)
Thanks for your input.

I'm assuming that you're using the server version that came with PalmVNC; though it lacks the features of the newer VNC server releases, it is the only one (that I know) that supports scaling, and it did seem to run faster (until I gave up and switched to W-H)

This is true, I even switcehd from TightVNC to the packaged PalmVNC VNC server, but it's still pretty slow.

I agree PalmVNC was too slow for me, so I went to Win-Hand.

Use WinHand; to speed things up a bit, change your desktop resolution to 800 x 600 or 640 x 480, take off "Power Saver Mode" in the network setup on the Clie. Or use PalmVNC with the screen settings as mentioned above. It will be faster, but still slower than Win-Hand. Note; no Macintosh vers. of Win-Hand is available.
