Hi,
Last night I didn't manage to turn my NX on. I suspect auto power off did't work, and my NX batteries were fully drained.
I don't have my docking station , I cannot charge it again
right now. I just realized that all my data will be lost ...
I have several backups from sony standard backup tool on my 256k memory stick. They are not up to date. Also, hotsync on my computer is not up to date, and I don't know which one is the most up to date version. To add some interest to the problem, I have some app (few one) on flash (using JackFlash). I am sure that the latest MS backup was made once all my app have been put into flash.
I would like to recover the latest data as possible. Here is what I plan :
1) backup the user directory of my PC. look at last hotsync date through hotsync log file.
2) Power On the NX and look at the backup dates (from sony backup app) on my memory stick
3)
- if the backup is newer than the hotsync (would be the best), I'll do a restore from backup on memory stick, and this will give me the latest data.
- if the hotsync is newer than the backup:
3.a) I'll do a restore from backup on memory stick.
3.b) I'll do a hotsync. Here is the question: Do I need to change in my hotsync configuration before this hotsync (ie : sync -> desktop replace handheld) ?
Is there anything I can/must do ?
