Yes its pretty simple.

Goto your bluetooth advanced configuration window:

Click on local services, make a note of what COM port the Bluetooth serial port is on [in my case COM3]

Goto hotsync icon on the toolbar right click and select setup then goto local serial and select COM3 [or whatever you bt serial port is on]. Then enable local serial in the hotsync icon menu also and thats it!

Cheers,
Neil.

Oh forgot, on the TG-50 you need to do the following:

prefs->connections>new

enter a name
connect to -> PC
Via Bluetooth
then pair your device
then goto hotsync and select that connection you created then hit hotsync!

I just bought my TG50 last Thursday and have had all kinds of "filter" driver problems on syncing through the USB port. Out of frustration, I just took a look here, and now I am happily syning from the comfort of my couch ! No cables, no worries.

Is there a way to run MSImport over Bluetooth as well ?

You could use SmbMate to transfer files over bluetooth, and use Net Sync with the same connection to HotSync.

But... the whole point of MSImport is speed. a USB connection versus a bluetooth connection? It's bad enough syncing over bluetooth.

Thanks. It appears SbmMate is no longer being offered for free. Seems to have been bought out by another company.

I just like the idea of being laying on my couch and pulling files off my PC, which is located upstairs. Its not for speed, it because I can !

If you want SmbMate, I can send you the free version... but since you're a guest, you may as well register... and private message me. Or, if you want to post your email, you can.

Thanks. I have registered, but am having some problems on logging in. If this works, then I think you'll see my email. I appreciate you sending me the free code. Lets see if this works.

I just checked the member's list, and "shender" or anything like it, isn't on it, so I would try again

OK, I think I got this figured out. I am officially a member. Thanks for your patience. So, how do I get you my email ID so you can shoot me the code ?
