Folks, I am new to the electronic information world so please excuse my dumb questions.

I have a PEG-NX70V/U and I want to purchase an wireless LAN card. My question to you is, can I only use the SONY PEGA-WL100, or can I use the SONY PEGA-WL110?

I would appriciate if someone could please give me some guidence, thank you

Yes, you can use both. The Sony site shows that the compatible models are the PEG-NX60, PEG-NX70V, PEG-NX73V, PEG-NX80V, and PEG-NZ90, but from what I've read the WL-100 is better than the WL-110. Read this... http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41219 . Hope this helps!!

Your're welcome. Outpost.com(Fry's Electronics) has the card for $129.90 right now.

Thank you MARKVI, I bought the PEGA-WL110.
I am attempting to configure the card but I have come across a small problem, I have a LINKSYS wireless-G 2.4 Broadband Router, when I am asked to enter a network ID (networkID (SSID)) that is specified by the wireless LAN access point, I am lost. I have no idea where to get this information because I cannot find the manuel for the router.
I'm sorry for asking, but any ideas?

On your computer open a web browser (Internet explorer), and write the IP address of your router, that i don't remember what the default is, but i think it's something like 100.0.0.1, or i don't know, but your manual should say it.

That will open the configuration screen on your router, that the default username is admin, with no password.

On the router you will get the SSID on the Wireless tab.

(Note: ive a linksys router, but i didn't let the default settings, so i don't know what the defaults are, but i know the other configs)

I believe the default Linksys router SSID is simply:
linksys

Sometimes, it is just "default"

I am so so so sorry but here I am again. I was able to get the WiFi card installed and I belive that it is working. I now have installed and uninstalled and installed again the NetFront application supplied with my Clie and I can't get an Icon on my home screen. The files show that the software is in the Clie but still no Icon. Is this a problem with the software or is it as I think, my lack of knowledge? HELP

Speaking of NetFront... I have a NX-60 with the WL110 CF. I don't see NetFront anywhere, nor was it an option to install with the WL110 CF.

Is NetFront on the original CD for the NX-60?

I'm totally new to the whole "wireless" thing, so any help would be great.

I've installed NetFront from the Clie CD, but I don't see an icon for it? Before I upgrade to the latest version, I'd like to get to know the orignal program.

How does one go about accessing NetFront?

To install NetFront, you need at least 4-6 MB free RAM...otherwise it doesn't show up. And if you do a hard reset (or any other time there is some glitch and it is lost), you will have to do the process all over again. When I was using my NX70, I finally got tired of that whole song and dance routine, cleared an area in Flash ROM (using JackFlash) and installed it in there. Never had a problem after that.

Thanks anniebluesky!

I cleared some RAM and NetFront is working. Thanks for all the help.
