I've been using kinoma to watch episodes of southpark and family guy, now I'm wondering what is the best bitrate to size ratio, I'm getting files from 58-70 megabytes and this is just to big for my 256 memory stick pro.

What have you guys found works well?

I've decided to try mmplayer,
but I have a few problems with it.
1) It can't seem to handle any bit rate of video...
2) the interface is terrible, although I see there are skins...
3) you can't pause or go to a position within the file.

good for you mmplayer almost works...I've tried vers. 2.8 only to do a soft reset...what version do you use? I've read somewhere else that earlier versions sometime works, so if your's one of these, could U kindly e-mail it to me?
rabass6@email.it ...my tj35 needs a movieplayer other than kinoma. Thanks anyway

try to reconvert the native video to a smaller size. (and leave the old file as is if youd like)

I have done,
no bitrate problems,
and files size is quite small,
however mmplayer has audio chirping and
the lip sync is ... spastic.

Lip sync fixed, I was encoding with to many frames per second.
