Just thought I would put this out there considering the activity in this forum in the last week.

There've been so many threads, people getting theirs, NOT getting theirs, and the still everpresent (but unfortunately still existing) hater trying to upset us.

I'm just trying to get a sense of how many people actually ARE NZ'ers. I found a place to get mine today, so I'll be NZing after work.

I braved dangerous roads here in NC, USA to go to the local Ciruit City and buy my new toy, right off the shelf. Actually it was in a locked cage, but who cares. I was just happy to have it. And playing with it today, I am even more happy with it. The camera is the greatest asset of this device and should serve me well for some time.

Did you ever notice how longgggggggggggg it takes to drive home from the store when you have a new toy?? ;)

Tugged it out of the box and it's charging as we speak.

I am waiting for my NZ.  Turned down a regular price by at CC on Saturday. Cancelled my $50 rebate preorder at amazon and ordereded the $699 oneform datavis.com on Sunday.  Hope to get it by the end of the week.

You know how long drive it is home when BB didn't get any in yet, and CC has two in their cage but won't sell you one yet. I'm depressed!

OH yeah -bigtime. I started my prowl there today. For some reason, they're not selling theirs until Thursday or so they tell me here.

Did CUSA today and stood at the PDA corral for 15 minutes after they paged somebody. On the 15th minute I told the guy at the returns counter to page the manager 911, and if he didn't get out here in 2 minutes, I was taking my purchase to BB. THAT got him in front of me.

Nobody knew what the NZ was. If I didn't have the item # with me, I wouldn't have gotten one. When they saw the price come up on the computer their eyes bugged ;) I didn't want to buy the extended warranty on the road, I wanted to wait until I got home on Thursday and asked the manager that was scurrying all over the place for me if I would have any problem buying it back at home 2 days later.

He tried to inform me that "It's a do or die thing. If you don't buy it today, you can't get it at all." There were SO many things wrong with that sentence, I got confused where to start. Now, keep in mind that I'd already had a lousy drive finding their store, work was NOT good today, and this guy is going to try and get over on me.

I opened the top two buttons on my shirt and asked the man if he could see where I screw my head on an off at night ;) Total smart a$$ remark, but he had it coming. I have no issues whatsoever using my size an appearance to intimidate somebody (especially when they act like I'm a stoopid musclegeek.)

Then I took him over to his internet connection, got on Cliesource, and pulled up all the threads relating to their extended warranty plans, and the scores of people that purchase them at any time. I read enough posts on here to know it was true, but I wanted to hear it straight from a CUSA employee's mouth.

He suddenly changed his tune - imagine that.

PS on the CC thing Jedix. If it'd been me, I'd have told them that if I don't get one today, I'll go get it from their competition (and I'd tell that to a manager. Telling it to the floor associates is like talking to the dog. That same vague, hint of recognition.)

If they think they'll lose a sale, then they tend to move differently.

Clieless!!! Preordered mine from Sony thinking I would receive it before the BM's. Now I am bordering on a conspiracy theory since everyone has their new NZ EXCEPT ME!!! :(

Yea, I thought about that, but I chickened out. I guess it was I had too many other things on my mind. I think I'll be getting it at BB, anyway. I have had better experiences with their extended warranty. Not to say, I wouldn't buy it at CC, just would prefer BB.

mine arrived via FedEx yesterday afternoon and I didn't get much sleep last night. I could not stop playing with it. This is one hot PDA and well worth the money spent on it.

I'll use size as the down-and-dirty way to get somebody if they're doing me wrong.

Monday morning I was the first customer in the CompUSA near my house, I have it now and I love it. Lucky for me it was no problem at all, I even got the free mem stick to go with it.

I got mine on Sat. :D So far I adore it. Like everyone else I hate the stylus, and the charger is a little awkard. Minor though compared to the capabilities.
