Puging Calendar Issue

Greetings!

I have been using my NX70 for about four months and I just started having this issue....

Calendar events are being automatically purged from my PDA after one week has elapsed. The one exception are any calendar events that are recurring.

I have reviewed my purge options and it is set at purge afetr "1 week". I try changing it to the max time "one month". However, the unit does not take the change. It seems to default to 1 week.

I like to keep item in my calendar for more than one week. In fact, I like to keep them indefinetely (I was able to do this with my Handera...).

Any help to slove this issue will be aprreciated.

it is not the handheld app that is causeing this but the pc intelisynce software...but i still dont know how to change it. i switched over to pocketmirror and have never looked back...works like a charm

I don't know what's causing the problem, but there are no 'purge options' as you're describing.

What you're looking at is a screen allowing *you* to purge the items older than the selected amount -- in other words, every time you hit 'OK', you're deleting events out of your datebook database.

As far as I know, nothing in the PalmOS automatically removes events from your datebook. Until a few months ago, I had several *years* worth of events. I finally decided I didn't need quite so many things saved, so I purged.
