I am attempting to sync my NX70V with VirtualPC (I want to sync with MS Outlook via Intellisync). VirtualPC detects the Clie when I push the "Hotsync" button (it appears in the USB Settings) but the HotSync software is not started in VirtualPC. I read somewhere that there might be a conflict btw Missing Sync and VirtualPC. Can anyone confirm this? Is anyone successfully syncing via VirtualPC with the Missing Sync installed? Does anyone know how to easily uninstall the Missing Sync? Thanks to all for any insight.

a couple of questions before i try to answer the question
first, what version of mac os? virtual pc? missing sync?
second, are you also syncing with the mac when not running virtual pc or just syncing with virtual pc?
with these answers we can probably give more educated answers.

Of course...
Mac OS 10.2.4 (also didn't work with 10.2.3 last week), Virtual PC 6.01, Missing Sync 3.04
I am not syncing with the Mac (I disabled Hotsync there so that it would not conflict with the Virtual PC attempting to access it. Virtual PC is also set up in the USB settings to have exclusive access to the Clie). I would, however, like to take advantage of the iPhoto integration Missing Sync provides after this issue is worked out.
As far as the Virtual PC instance, it is Windows 98SE. Thanks for the reply!

the last time i used virtual pc to sync my palm was at least a version ago in mac os and virtual pc. at the time the only way i could make it work was to disable the mac syncing and use only the virtual pc with palm desktop installed on windows 98. i found that many times i had to wait until virtual pc was running and then plug in the hotsync cradle for windows 98 to go through the plug and play routine and be able to use the cradle (these kind of usb conflicts were supposed to be fixed by 10.2 and vpc 6). i was never able to figure a way to do both windows and mac on the same machine without doing a lot of unplugging and plugging and even then, i often had duplicates of all my contacts, memos, to dos and meetings.
i know this is not a lot of help, but it is my story. if you call the folks at connetix they will say it is a palm problem, the palm people say it is a connetix problem and apple blames microsoft and microsoft blames everyone for not using their "standard"
