Anybody have any ideas as how to put my stuff from my NR on the TH? And can I keep everything on my old NR?

I thought of changing Hotsync id on the NR then syncing the TH then coming back later and let the NR overwrite to a new ID. What ya think?

I will probably transfer one item at a time for stability, but that is just me... I am wary of the same transition (NR to TH).

considering that the NR is an OS 4.1, its probably wise moving one app one at a time..

Good Evening-

I am in the same NR70v to TH55 boat. I think that I will just start fresh and load all of the apps in one at a time. I am assuming that to get my contacts in I can use the tried and true method of copying the Address folder from the Sony Handheld directory into the new location and then performing a HotSync. Is that the case? And will I have to go to a new UserName now? Also, the NR is obviuously OS4.1, has anyone with an OS 5.x device experienced any issues with any of the mainstream apps?

I do that with any OS upgrade for any type of computer.... caution is my middle name. :)

My plan is to attempt use of the Migration tool that comes on the CD.  If that fails I'll manually install everything I need (finding OS5 replacements for some of my OS4 only programs).

Any time I do any sort of upgrade, PDA, PC, laptop, Unix server, whatever, I jot down everything that is running on the box.  As I go through and reinstall things I cross them off from the list and by the end I have a stable system.

if your system beats mine in the door, let me know how the migration works... if it works well, maybe I will try it... if it works for two or more of us, maybe it will really work...

Can anybody tell me what is the max # of characters you can use for Hotsync ID in Palm OS5.x?

I can't check OS5 but on OS4 it appears to be 20.

Interesting aside...I've been to Monroe a couple of times with my previous company when they had a lab down there.  Neat place but man the mosquitos were something else!
