add bluetooth via memory stick?

can i add bluetooth to the th55 via a memory stick? will it work? i specifically want to use the palm dialer, sms, and bluetooth headset (with my phone).

yes you can but that means you can;t use your memory stick as a storage when you have the bluetooth stick inserted. Sony should have just released the European version as the common/universal spec for the Th55

can a u.s. user purchase the uk version? is it compatible here? are there any problems with that?

Unlike all previous CLIE, the TH55's MemoryStick slot has an external door. The BT MemoryStick is a larger-than-usual MS because it has an antenna. You won't be able to close the TH55's MS door with the BT MS inserted.

This may or may not be a fatal problem. If the door is just a mechanical cover, then it's a just a small annoyance that the door will be flapping around.

Shouldn't be any problem using a UK TH55 in US. I been using a US T665 in UK for ages and had no problems (Except when I hard reset it keeps defaulting to US Mountain Time!! :))

Only caveat is that the BT is not approved for use in the US and therefore probably illegal to use, but I doubt anyone cares ;)

I doubt this since BT itself is not illegal (I have TG50 that has bluetooth). AFAIK, it is only illegal for Sony to manufacture and sell bluetooth enabled TH55s in the US, not fo rpeople to purchase them elsewhere and import them thmeselves.

(Then again, I don't know everything.)
