Hello,
I have been reading quite a bit of review on the NZ90. One of the reviews I have read said that the NZ90 uses a new cryptic program for word processing as oppose to Documents To Go. The new cryptic program only allows users to view documents and does not seem to allow users to edit documents unlike the Documents To Go program. I am quite concerned about this as it seems pointless that it cannot edit documents like Documents To Go. What are your views on this issue ?

Hi, G ! I have a few ideas about this. I think it sux for the average computer user. Actually, the average PC and handheld user, if they share the same resources, such as the word processor program, it would sock for them... What would really be a good advantage if you could ONLY VIEW the document and not edit it? If it was an ebook, that would be good, but a word processor? Yo, wa sup wif dat?? Hey, check it: my personal situation is that I use the built-in word program for writing stuff; I don't even sync the handlheld with the PC, cause I don't have a PC yet. You can get (download) some bomb-*** programs from the internet about word processing and stuff, homey. I don't have a handheld yet, since my last one (HP200lx about 5 years ago), but I hope to get one. That's my 2$ worth. Later, amigo!

I use Documents to Go, had it on my Palm 505 and transferred it to my NZ 90. I use a lot of Microsoft Office apps teaching so I'm sticking with it. I can't imagine why Sony decided not not to include that program on the NZ when the other Clie models have it. What were they thinking?

I think you are talking about PicSel, which is a document viewer. It allows viewing HTML docs, PDF docs, as well as Word & Excel docs. It is a viewer only, but I understand that there are other versions of it that allow both creating and editing of docs. The one Sony bundles is read-only on them. Apparently, you can only get it if you get an NZ90. It is rather hard to use, I still loaded Docs To Go on my unit.
