The Ogio City Corp Messenger Bag is great! It is big with lots of compartments and pockets. Not made of leather, but still looks good. I think they are really reasonable also (got mine from work, so I do not know exactly what they cost). Website is www.ogio.com.

Check out Kensington (http://www.kensington.com)
They have both leather and non-leather bags. The bags have lots of pockets and tend to be lighter than others. I've had a vinyl one for years. We get the leather ones for our professional services people in the US.

For a protective and cool backpack, you can't go wrong with a Boblbee:

I own a Targus case CN01 and it does the job for me. The price was not that bad. I compared others and this one seemed to be the best overall. It is also adjustable. It has plenty on space for extra cds and of course who can forget PDA storage is exceptional.

Swiss Army makes a few of them. I have their backpack and bike messengers pack.
Separate suspended compartments for the laptop - tons of pockets, made of black ballistic fabric. Bit on the expensive side (200 bucks each) but built like a tank, and comes with 1000 bucks in laptop insurance. Well worth the money.

They have a lambskin leather laptop backpack that looks very similar to the Tumi. TONS of room in it! I purchased one, but it was too large for me, so my husband has it now and loves it. I went back to Wilson's and bought a smaller lambskin laptop bag (also backpack) for myself.

I have an Incase bag for my 12 inch Powerbook G4. Very basic, stylish, and fairly inexpensive.
