Hi all,

Can the TH55 do wordprocessing in landscape orientation? This is the most important thing for me. I want to write stories in landscape with an attached keyboard, possibly the Palm Wireless (IR port) keyboard. I was hoping to use something like DocsToGo to edit Microsoft Word files. I need a longer (landscaped) screen so my rapidly decaying eyes dont have to scan a bazillion tiny short little lines of text in portrait mode.
Brighthand's review says some apps work in landscape; is there a word processor among those? Is there any prospect Sony will upgrade the software so landscape works for the web browser and/or word processing? Is there a third party solution to make stuff work in landscape (eg. DocsToGo).
If I order a European model with Bluetooth included, does anyone see problems with using this in the US? Is there any known way to upgrade a US model to get Bluetooth? Also, any idea whether the TH55 will be upgradeable to Cobalt/OS6? (Didnt think anyone would have any info but it cant hurt to ask).
I call it OS6 instead of POS6 because POS stands for something else too. I think some of you know what Im talking about :)

I'm not aware of any word processor that works in landscape mode on the TH55.

You'd be better off asking your various questions in seperate threads. They'll get better answers that way.

You should have no problem using a European model in the U.S., just accept that you won't have as much ROM space as U.S. models will. This might not be a big deal for you, if you don't want to store extra stuff in ROM.

Any news concerning landscape textwriting on the TH55 ? Actually I only need ´some kind of text input´ on this device, because I will finish my texts on the PC anyway.

So I got the TH55 and the Palm Wireless KB and typing stories is fine in portrait as it turns out. Love the TH55, especially playing videos and Audible for NPR downloading.

Ashfall,

Here is a screen shot of Docs2Go6. Lots of font types (9 of them) and sizes (16 of them) to choose from and make the system what you want it to be. Glad you went for it.
