I asked the manager at my Best Buy and he told me I COULD get the warranty without buying from his store. You should try asking the manager or go to another BB. Someone will allow it, cause they make mainly profit selling the warranties.

Don't know what happened to that last post, guess I went "blank" for a moment.

 

The Best Buys in our area said they were at the store manager's discretion, the website lists "limited availability", and encourages online ordering.
