At what price (in whatever country your reside) would the TH55 be an "I'll take a pass on this!" or "I'll wait 'til it comes down a bit..." price?

Mine is above $450 in the US.

I think it's pretty well established it will cost $400 USD. Luckily, that is my break point!

You guys in the U.S. have it good. $400 U.S. exchanges out to a wee bit more than $530 Canadian dollars but there are strong indications that it will cost $600 here. Worse yet, there are Provincial and Federal taxes. I live in Ontario and here that works out to 15% so if $600 is the real Canadian price, it will cost a whopping $690 ($520 U.S.). Not fair at all.

$375 if there is nothing better out there. I will compare when it comes out.

More than likely I will wait for a rebate $425-$450 with a $50-$75 rebate.

Also depends on how long the old T665C lasts. Probably hold my breath.

Honestly I wouldn't pay more than $300 for that device. I'm not saying it's bad, I just think that the price-to-feature ratio isn't nearly as good as the NX80V (of course, the price is well above 400, but it DID dip down to $289).

Yeah. I have friends and relatives in the U.S. and I maintain a mailbox in Niagra Falls (about an hour's drive from my place) for just such uses. That being said, some people prefer buying stuff new from reputable dealers. Those are the kind of people that tend to delcare everything they bought in the U.S. when they cross the border. If you declare the purhcase, you have to pay the taxes. It's a bummer. Sometimes you get lucky and the customs agent doesn't ask or just lets you through but it's a hit or miss thing.

How's $319.99 + tax for the TH-55? That's what I pre-ordered it for at BestBuy.com.

Super price.

Downside is it doesn't ship until early March, worth the wait for such a savings.

whoa 319 is a good price. I'm still waiting for OS6. Hope it would be the same.

OS 6 (ooops! Cobalt) at the same price? Hmmmm. I don't think I'd bet on that one since it should first appear on top of the line, high end devices. We all know how Sony prices *those* units.
