Is there anyway I can use a memory stick to transfer the software provided by SONY... For example. Documents to go. I would like to run that program off a memory stick instead of running straight from my pda.... So in other words I'm trying to save money.

You can move all the files except for the one that called "Docs' (or something like that). That one is required for the Hotsync to work. But all the rest of the files can be moved to the Memory Stick.

I'm not sure I understand the question...yes documents to go can be loaded on the memory stick, but it has to be moved from the MS to RAM to run. There are several ways to do this, and lots of threads on the subject.

I use PowerRun for this, and 95% of my programs (about 26mb) are on the MS and I have 8mb free RAM.

I really don't understand the part about saving money??

Ahhh Thanks n2ifp...he had me scratchin' the old noggin on that one, I read it about 5 times trying to figure out what I was missing.

Same here, I just ignored that part because I had no idea where money was being saved :)

Thx, guys... I really meant to say memory. I was writting this like at 1 in the morning and was really tired. I do not want to run the apps on my clie because I think they will take up a lot of memory. Can I run them on my "ms", and just pop it in when I need to use word, or excel !?!?

Yes, you can keep the files on the memory stick. Now if you need to be able to HotSync with the desktop, then the 'DocsToGo.prc' file has to stay in RAM.

You'll need to convert them first with the desktop application first, before moving them to the Clie. Docs To Go normally creats a '/Palm/Programs/DXTG' folder on the memory stick.
