i am a hk guy and have been using T665 for 1.5 years. i played TH55 last week and found some goods and bads:

goods:
-slim and multi-function e.g. mp3, camera, voice recorder...
-good battery life
-wi-fi enabled
-support ms pro
-actually new CLIE organizer is a good idea...however, it is not the main point to buy it... the basic function of palm PIM is good enough. (just my opinion)

bads:
-no video recorder function (the bad bad thing)
-no bluetooth
-no alarm in to do list (TT3 does)
-no today list (TT3 does)
-no RMC (remote control for appliance)
-no cradle and headphone (very cheap sony)
-cpu speed is poorer than i expected

I believe he means that there is no Today Screen... similar to PPC's. Of course the calendar app will have a day, week, month etc. views..

Could you elaborate on this? I'm curious as to what made it feel slow and how slow it felt, which I realize is hard to describe but please try.

are u talking datebook... ? to-do-list is different fr datebook.

datebook contains day, week, month, half year view in TH55.

to-do-list contains no TODAY view...just like agendus does!!

Can you comment on the useability of the jog roller at the back? Is it comfortable? Does your finger get tired after a while? Also, how is the back button? From where it is, it seems to be somewhat annoying to get to...

since it is using sony handheld engine..it saves much battery. however, when doing PIM function, the cpu speed would be set slower to meet this "low-cpu program". instead the CLIE organizer required much cpu resources rather than "normal CLIE" does...
actually, it is exceptable. haha ..

Maji,

Since you played with the TH55 last week, perhaps you could answer my question about whether the "Prefs" in the TH55 are organized in a drop-down list or in the more intuitive one page fashion a la T|3.

Thanks.

and...

*no remote-controllable phone's (take device out of your pocket when you listen in power-saving "hold"-mode and receive an phone call).
*less dynamic-heap (7 MB) than the UX50 (16 MB) and the NX80 (8 MB) -> This affected nefront's "page-too-large-errors" in older models with 4 MB of dynamic-heap. As Palm OS 6 is said to have application specific-reserved dynamic-heap areas, I think with 7 MB of dynamic heap there will not be an os 6 upgrade.
*hard to take's photo's of yourself with the not swivable camera

*not to forget, that its possible that a bunch off non-memory-memory-sticks might not be compatible because of the special-ms-slot, like for ex. the gps-ms, bluetooth-ms, powerpoint-beaming-cable-ms uso.
*also on the japanese web-site the accessories do not list the cf-sled allowing the japanese people to use they compact-flash-mobile-communication-cards in the previous t- and nr-series-model's

....but.. a very pleasing price for a device with build in bt and wlan

this is always interesting.... I have never even considered ever doing such stuff on a PDA.... I actually like the idea of the TH being more like a paper organizer (I used to carry both when I had a Palm IIIxe and had to force myself to drop the other) and not trying to be more like a handheld laptop computer.

I won't forget christmas 2002/03 with my just 2 month's old nx70v i was able to send a family-photo as christmas-card to all friends having email (using ir and a mobile-phone). It was fun to add a handwritten greeting and a red handwritten heart on to of our baby - using photo editor :-( I it's rather unusual to get such emails from a mountain-lodge.

even worse:

add to the cons the following: It seems that not all the functionality of the expensive ms-pro can be used with the ms-slot's build in the th55 !!!!!!!!

But, I learned meanwhile, that this footnote is true for the other clie's too. So there should not be any difference ;-)

You lying OS5 users!!!!!!!

well I said both good and bad. Fact is many are going to buy the device. If its for them great. I Jst don`t want any part of this device MYSELF. I will not buy a OS 5 system why? when os 6 is around the corner.:p
