I got a few on my ftp at www.battl.com/staff.htm but if you have mIRC or something similar there is an irc channel (search the threads for the name) that allows file sharing. Plus the guys there are pretty helpful.

Where did all the Simpsons episodes hosted at clieflix.com go?
They had some really nice videos, but I can't find them anymore.

Howdy, partners! I have actually downloaded a few episodes of Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, and the Pink Panther from bearshare.com! It was very awesome when I found out I could do it, but I don't have a PDA (nevermind a clie!) so I wouldn't know anything about transfers.... YET! AH AHA HAHA!!!!

They are on my Hard Drive! :) Sorry! I've been looking for a host...but it's hard to come around free ones with my requirements...
Like stating before I am serving up my files and more (close to 30gb now) on irc
Cheers!

I'm sorry to about clieflix Mr. Spic, I really liked your site. I hope you can get a server soon, because what you do rocks.

I'm trying to follow in Mr. Spics footsteps with my site, but limited funds and storage means no where near the amount of downloads he had! I'm slowly increasing my storage space to accomodate more videos, but that takes more money:)...

Hey Mr. Spic, I'm currently looking for Simpson's episodes to convert and host on my site. I've downloaded some off Kazaa, but the quality isn't where I want it to be. What Simpson's videos did you use? Did you find the same files that I'm finding now? Or were yours better quality? Let me know!

To temporarily share files you could use WarFTP if you're on a windows machine.

First off...great work in what your doing...It was my hobby and the only thing is don't let it turn into work :)
As far as the Simpsons is concern the ones I am serving up on IRC are Season 1 DVD rip (13 episodes) and soon Season 2 (22 episodes) The majority of the files that I am serving (close to 50gb now) are DVD rips...so the quality is excellent...next week will have STTNG Seasons 1,2,3 Joy!
Cheers.
Drop me a note if you need some content. I don't mind helping out.

Hmmm, I have season's 1 and 2 on DVD (when is 3 coming out?), but I never really thought about ripping them. How do you rip the individual episodes, instead of ending up with the whole disc in MPG?
Oh....and what's STTNG?:)

STTNG = Star Trek - The Next Generation.... woohoo!!
Thanks much, Mr. Spic :D

If you use DVD Decrypter it allows you to rip individual chapters...NICE!
Cheers!
BTW: Smartripper will also allow this...I just am partial to DVD Decrypter :)

Be patient! I just added another 100mb of space to my server, so I'm working on converting more videos for my site. New videos should be up in a couple days!

Mr. Spic, thanks for the info. I have SmartRipper, but I'll try the other one as well. What was the average filesize for a Simpson's episode? Did you convert them at the highest quality?

I'm NOT serving on IRC right now. I think Mr. Spic said he is. Everything I've got so far can be downloaded from my site, www.mjpd.com. Eventually I'll have the Simpson's up there too...

Yes, its important that the NR not be left behind in the movie sector.

A question for us who are hobbled with the t615...

Hey Rob, that guy smashing his head through the computer was cool and all, but I like your new avatar better:)

Thx. I'll switch back later when my new improved head-smasher is done. :) Meanwhile I think Frostie has a good point. I'm going to start encoding movies in NX/NR/T/SJ formats as they are the newest and more powerful. Sorry N&S users (of which I am one).
PS: I think T will be limited to 615/665.

rob-squared: anything video that play on the T615 play fine on the T415, additionally any video for the T665 plays decently with the audio adapter on the T415. I know this because I own a T415 and an audio adapter. Keep up the encoding!

That's good to know, and makes things a lot easier. Though all the files right now are NR and I lost the origonal avi and mpg files so only new ones will be for more clies.

I am currently sharing Season 13 of the Simpsons in NX format in the IRC channel. Also I know where to find the videos. Go to www.xgoogle.com and do a search for Simpsons. In the results you will find IRC channels that share Simpsons episodes. The videos in there are far better quality then those on Kazaa.

It is true that recent Simpson episodes (Seasons 13 and 14) are available on Kazaa in MPEG quality. However when looking for anything before then it is hard to find much. Kazaa is easier to use but using IRC has its rewards.

hmmm its awesome what you guys are doing and I wouldnt mind converting some stuff too. Could you tell me your settings for conversion of large movie files? Everytime i convert for the default movie player on the nx it wont correctly play. Are you using kinoma or the movieplayer?
yulri8
03-15-2003, 04:14 PM
Oh I was just wondering if you would take other peoples contributions for nx users like videos or movies. Currently I've got some anime that could be used . I have tried converting them but still get the same problem of consistency it doesnt always play sometimes it starts in the middle or something. So tell me if you want some anime for your site mjpd.

Ok ... going out on a limb here, there is another IRC channel that is busting with content but not with users.
If you are interested and are somewhat familiar with IRC (doesn't matter the flavor you're using for client) but we're over at the following specs:
/server irc.nullus.net
/join #clie
Laid back atmosphere for chatting, and good people willing to help out those starting off.
There's too much content to list here so drop on by!
Cheers!

mjpd are these files on your Site Kinoma or GMovie Files? I'm only starting out on the whole Video thing..
mjpd1
04-16-2003, 02:22 PM
The videos on my site are encoded with Kinoma Producer, so they'll require Kinoma Player to view them. They're divided into two sections as I'm sure you've seen; one for NR Clie's and one for NX. The reason is that they use different audio formats. Let me know if you have any problems with them!

Yo Mr Spic! I'm so glad I read this forum! I thought Clielflix had gone 4 good! Now I can't wait for the return. In the meantime where can I get some widescreen vids for my NR70V??
Cheers

Aluicious, please let me know what problems you're having on my site so I can fix it! I haven't had any other complaints about the registration process (700+ registered users and counting:)), so send me an e-mail or something and I'll do my best to find out what's wrong. Thanks!

hey.... if you've had good luck using DVDx to rip dvd's, could you help me? check out the post in this forum with the DVDx in the subject. I've tried it... but the videos I get are jittery visually. I'd really appreciate any help you can give me.
others in the room have helped... but I just can't seem to get the parameters right. DVDx does have a lot of them... :)
thanks in advance dude,
