sound and mapsonic

I Have a problème with sound in the software Mapsonic 2.2
When i make the test or when i use the demo mode ( i have not a GPS ;-) ) the sound is only "beeeeep"

I have a strange problem..... the GPS works just fine, but no sound....?????

I am using the mapsonic 1.2 version

What sghould I do ?
