In time where the PDAs get more smaller, usefuller and so on I want to know of YOU which was or is the best design Sony ever created.

For me, its the design of the old S300/500

SJ series is the best its the smallest but still feels comfortable in your hand.

IMO, the SJ33 is the 2nd best looking CLIE from Sony, next to the TH and before the TH37.

Vote for the best DESIGN, not for the specs. Thanks

I love the NX clamshell design. I'm one of those people who simply cannot use graffiti for the life of me and I appreciate the keyboard. The screen is also bigger than the other models and I enjoy having a camera that can swivel to use like a mirror or point away from me as a regular camera. It's pretty neat! Also the compact flash port is icing on the cake.

I would have bought an NZ90 but I heard that battery life on that thing sux0rs.

NO, the battery life is better than of my NX70 was. But the design is really better than the one of the NZ. I love the swirable camera, too. So you could record movies, when the clié is lying on the table, for example. Hope Sony will design this in the next UX or NX

Today, I recorded a movie during a big meeting, and caught 3 of the other groupmembers sleeping and nodding off, trying very hard to stay awake. It was awesome, and you can't do that with this new TH55 because it'll be too obvious that you're recording!!!

No..you cannot do that with the new TH55 because it CANNOT record movies. Sony didn't feel like including MovieRecorder on this one. Go figure.

Oh really??? That totally SUX!!!!
I guess I'm never ever thinking about buying a TH55 now...
Movie recorder ROCKS.

Sony is so lame...
Too bad their hardware is pretty user friendly and attractive.

It sucks big time. I'm really fond of MovieRecorder...neat little program. Not the best quality of course but nice option to have on short notice when you didn't expect to be carring around a camcorder!

NX Series;
Good use of materials, CF slot, MS Pro support, photo/video & mp3, keyboard built-in. It just should have shipped w/32MB RAM.

jap, Movie recorder ROCKS!!! but, i only can record max. 30 minutes of video. After that the battery is discharged.:(

With my NX70 I could record over 90 minutes of video. (tryed it out in Cinema:cool: )

I hope, we can record movies with the next NX or UX series. AND of course a swirable camera. I must say, I hate this half-static camera at NZ, but that are 2 Megapixel.

Yo mad dog, if you lower your recording resolution does your battery get worn out quite as fast?

UX series hands down. Small and lightweight.

There are major flaws of each design, but honestly the UX, and the TH, and even the last batch of NX's and TJ's have sorted through the biggest flaws and the designs are only getting better.

UX-Excellent keyboard to body ratio
TH-Excellent screen to body ratio
NX-Excellent balance between each feature (HR+, CF, Keyboard, Camera)
TJ-Excellent camera implementation

I hope that more UX sized keyboards come out, more huge-screened-and-not-much-else pda's like the TH come out, more multifunctional and balanced NX pdas come out, and I hope the camera implemention from the TJ becomes the standard (ie doesn't take up space at all, seemingly).

God!...it shoulda shipped with alot of stuff. i.e. Built-in WiFi...better ability to fully utilize the CF slot..etc.
But overall..I'm quite happy with my NX80V. Still the best PDA I've owned so far. Emphasis on SO FAR. ;)

In my case, I've loved the design of my 3 pdas.

Palm M500, SJ33 and currently my UX50, What I like the most of them is the small size, I can always carry them on my front pocket (tried that with NX, NR and didn't work for me)

I would have to choose the NX series. The NX80 is my third clamshell PDA and I really like the design. The UX series is interesting as well, but still needs to be tweeked and improved upon by Sony.

I still love my T-Series :D

For me the best designed ones were between the original N-series and the T's.

The clam-shells are too bulky for me to consider them well-designed (I'm not necessarily coming from a 'features' angle here, just design), and I never liked those short-arse SJ-types :)

The TH I can't comment on since I have never seen one In Real Life, but it looks to be rated up there with the T and N for me... alas it looses points because it's been designed to be used in a certain way. I suspect people that don't use it that way will find it a little awkward...

yes u are totally right. My "T" has got a very nice design, even I painted my own finish onto the surface ^^ . But I love the design of the first Clies very much ( because of its colors, the formfactor, and this nice 2 silver stripes on the side).

Actually, my NZ ins not that pro design. perhaps I have to open a new thread asking "wich Clie has got the worst design?" :D:p:D

I'd have to say the UX :). Just love the sexiness of my lil baby, my lil personal laptop replacement ^_^. Amazing screen, solid build, awesome backlit keyboard, and small, compact size. My dream PDA :).
