Check out the NEWBIES post at the top of the CF Forum. Lots of good info there, and links to important files.

what if you're on osx? these .exe files are useless for osx users ...
doesn't anyone just have a .pdb set somewhere in a .zip file? i thought all this was public?

I'm working to find a solution to this... you know any installer software for MacOS 9 and Mac OSX?

if you've got the .pdb/.prc files that you need all together, you don't need an installer - just transfer them to a card (well, okay, I've got a cardreader for my memorystick...) and install from there.
the problem is, i can't get all the files i need in order to get my rebooted/reset clie nx70v to use compactflash, and i'm too skint to buy the drivers. if there is a way to do it all with the included .exe's., maybe i'll just have to go and find a pc around.
but maybe not. can anyone just put a .zip together will the needed files for us poor OSX users?

The mac doesn't need an installer for this. Put the necessary files (pdb and prc) into a single folder and then compress the folder into a .zip file for download. You can also compress it into a .sit file if you have the means. Either way, a mac user can then decompress the file after download, then drag the contents to missing syncs' installer window. That's all there is to it.

Where can I get these individual .pdb and .prc files? The links I have found are only to downloads of .exe files which I can't open at the moment. A .zip with the files would be fine.

Either the author of the software or someone else must send them to you, or you can have a windows guy run the .exe file, find where the ..pdb and prc files were saved on his computer, and then send them to you on a disk or by e-mail.
