Hello,
The weirdest thing happened with my speaker just now. I went to watch tv, and I noticed RMC wasn't making any beeps, but it was working fine. Thinking that my speaker was busted, I tried to play an mp3 through the speaker. It didn't play. I then decided to plug in some headphones, and it played fine. After taking out my headphones, the speaker worked fine in audioplayer and RMC. I wonder if there is some way to disable the speaker even when headphones aren't inserted. Has anyone noticed this before? Is there a known method for disabling the speaker? I hate RMC always beeping at me. Brian

In Palm Preferences app/General category, turn system sound off. You can also turn game and alarm sounds there. To disable the speaker, turn them all off.

Tanker Bob -- That suggestion doesn't apply here. RMC and audioplayer both act independently of the preferences. Brian

You should hardreset and try again.
If it does not work after the reset, you fried the speaker.
