Includes Memory Stick Storage. Is this new? Haven't seen it before:

Anyone can do a comparison with the one from DSI ?

Looks like the one from InnoPocket is better?

I think it IS new. When I looked at the Innopocket product before I thought it opened to the side so I got the DSI case. I keep my MS in my SJ30 so storage is not an issue but it's a good idea to have space for a spare:) It would be nice to see the back so we could see how the Clie attaches. I like the plastic locking prongs the DSI case has.

It looks almost identical to the DSI case!

Look here:

It has the plastic locking prongs. I hope this thing gets available to Europe for a low price... I'll sell my Digital Express leather case and get this one...

I wonder how far back the flip cover would go?

According the picture on the web, I notice that:

1) The plastic locking looks more similiar to Sony's flip cover that come with SJ-30, and that make it seems nicer than DSI one
2) Not for SJ-10, since it doesn't have left lower end opening for SJ-10 sync/charge(?)
3) The back surface is flat, unlike DSI one which has the original SJ-30 like curve, the extra space might just well be for the memory stick storage

I was going to order the DSI today, but suddently see this new one. I might as well get this one instead! :)

Is this a rip on the DSI Pocket Armor for the SJ series or what? It is more or less identical!!!

Although they look the same initially, but if you take a look more closely, there are some siginificant differences, like I mentioned in my previous post, i.e. flat back surface, different plastic locking, etc.

And I would not say this is a rip off from DSI, probably should be an improvement even, for example, memory stick storage.

I have decided to order one though.

Let us know how it turns out.

I purchased the Innopocket side opening metal case about a month ago. It arrived last Wednesday, and after installing my SJ30, with no scratching I might add, I was disappointed. the side opening did not allow my hand to get a good grasp on my Clie. Also, the slickness of the metal add to this problem. I ended up selling this case to a colleague for $20.00, which saved me the hassle of sending it back. I would be interested in this flip top, because of the better grasp factor and the locking mechanism. I was not comfortable with the little prongs holding my Clie securely.

The dsi is not the same as this one. This has slightly different cutouts around the jog dial etc. It doesn't bother me though as the DSI case I have is the titanium one which I love! But would only recommend for SJ20 owners as the colours go better.

Will do. Probably next week I would be able to lay my hand on it. Doesn't wish it to be better than DSI, just hope, at least, not worse than DSI, then I would be satisfied. I was struggling between these two for a whole snow day!

Just receive this mental case. Man, that was quick! :)

My initial experience is pretty good. It came in with plastic package wrapped, just like the one which wrap MS if you purchased from Sony, with a brief instruction note inside.

After took it out, the grasp feels good, very smooth and the aluminum color spread very evenly, no scratch at all. The weight is quite light, actually I was expecting something heavier. The cutouts are well done, I use my finger to touch them all and don't feel any rough edges. The plastic locking is all plastic material, just like the one on flip cover came with SJ-30 from Sony, which is a relief. The inner is smooth as well, and cover all bottom and top, not at sides though. And yes, there is an inner cutout at the bottom back for MS storage, which utilize the curve shape of SJ-30, and thus made the back of the whole case flat as designed.

Installation was quite easy, and I tried several times to put in and take out, and also exaiming to make sure there is no scratch on my SJ-30, which is a plus. SJ-30 fits well, and locks securely once switch the plastic locking. But the first time it was difficult to lock compare to Sony's flip cover, subsequent tries was getting better and better. Probably I am not used to or the plastic locking is not made as sophisticate as Sony's.

After close the cover, it all fit well and secure, try to shake a little bit (not dare to do dropping test though), SJ-30 was not moved. Try to open the cover, it squeaks a little, and the join is not so tight, so I can move the cover horizontally a bit forcely, which is not so ideal but acceptable. The cover can only be opened up to as the same level as the case, 180 degree, no more than that, probably a given.

That's probably all I have now. Overall, I am quite satisfied with it. I think I made the good choice between this one and the one from DSI. :)
