I saw the pics and manual posted by another member here (great work, by the way!).
Anyways, If it does have OS5, which it seems to have, thats is very good.
I have 2 complaints/questions though.
I would like a T665c device with Virtual Graffiti and OS5.
This thing has Bluetooth, which is a plus, but how big is the screen? Is it bigger or smaller then the T665c screen? If it is smaller that is a negative for me.
Also, I don't need a flip cover, but I am ok with it also. However, If it does not flip all the way so you can tuck it behind the device, that is a BIG negative. I don't want to have this huge thing sticking out everytime I would use it.

sorry virtual graffiti aint gonna happen anymore. graffiti is gone. I seriously doubt the screen is smaller. i think it is the same size.

why isn't virtual graffiti gonna happen anymore? Yes, i know its now "jot", but the concept should continue.

I think the screen is the same size, it's just having a grafitti area gives the illusion that the screen is bigger. It's like framing a poster, it's not smaller, it's an optical illusion.

About Graffiti being gone, I for one am not happy at that.
When I say Virtual Graffiti, even if there is no Graffiti, the screen should be bigger. That is my reason for wanting VG.

The TG50 may not have VG, but with its existence, I don't see a compelling reason for anyone to keep buying Tungsten Ts. The TG50 is THIN, powerful, stylish, and much better suited to the 'RIM Blackberry' style Bluetooth experience (no way am I going to write meaningful emails or post on messageboards with Graffiti alone).

I agree to a point. I was tempted by the Tungsten, but I am in love with the TG50. However, I can still see some reasons the Tungsten may be preferred over the TG50. Neverending love for graffiti, SD cards vs. MS, Palm brand name (some people still care), and accessories.

For a newbie:
I know all about graffiti, but what is virtual graffiti? Are there any PDA's that have VG already?
With Bluetooth, does that eliminate the USB cable to sync the PDA? Is that all it does, or more than that?
Thanks!

Well, there might be more experienced readers around, but I'll give my five cents a try:
Virtual Graffiti
The term 'Virtual Graffiti' means that the graffiti area of your handheld is actually a part of the display - in contrast to standard graffiti, where the graffiti area or 'silkscreen' is fixed in hardware. Since it is just an image on the screen, VG can be switched of - 'collapsed' - and thus free up more screen real estate for displaying more important things. (baby photos, other photos, mpeg movies, games, ebooks, ...) Typically the virtual graffiti area covers an area of 320x160 pixels on a high resolution screen the final display area being (with VG collapsed) 320x480 pixels.
Currently there are two (major) devices with VG on the market (Sony NR70 and NX70) and two devices announced and coming (Sony NZ90 and Garmin iQue). Photos of these devices can e.g. be found on this page or at the Palm Infocenter.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is indeed positioned as a replacement for cables for mobile appliances. (I had to use the word.) Its data transfer rate is much less than USB or Wireless Lan can do (about 700kB/s) so for a quick synchronization I'd prefer USB. However Bluetooth is very versatile. You can use it to connect to the internet, send text messages or synchronize addresses with a BT enabled mobile phone. You can use it to connect to a LAN via an access point (for example any PC with an USB bluetooth dongle). You can use it to connect a headset to your PDA. You can use it to connect two (or more) PDAs to exchange data. You can use it (with a suitable driver) to connect a BT enabled keyboard to your PDA and enter text. I've even heard that there is such a thing as a BT enabled fridge, containing a database of the food stored within. So you could theoretically synchronize your shopping list on the PDA with your refrigerator. Well, and there was the rumor about that bluetooth toilet - which I prefer to discard as a rumor.
Just in case the point comes up: BT and wireless LAN have nothing in common but the 'wireless' part. BT is versatile, very robust, power saving and darn slow while WLAN is just for networking, power consuming and much faster.
I hope I could help,

Excellent summary Abednego.
I will note though, another PalmOS unit that has virtual graffiti is the Handera.

Instead of "actual grafitti," as a tribute to Led Zeppelin, can't we agree to call it "Physical Grafitti"?

Ah yes, the Handera 330...
I must confess, that was the reason why I chose to write 'major' devices. ;) The post is already too long and an explication of 240x320 screens would have just been too much.
sorry, :o

A young science student named Rafferty
went down to the colleges lavatory.
When he looked at the wall
he exclaimed "Praise them all!
This must be the center of graffity!"
