What is the best program to keep bank account/ financial information safe? Also, passwords and the like? I currently use 3nity, but the interface is not too my liking. Would like it to be more configurable and able to have more information available at a glance.

I can't compare it to 3nity, but SplashID (http://www.splashdata.com/splashid/index.htm) is a great app. Highly recommended. You'll find it to be highly configurable: select columns you want to appear, font size, etc.

Recently bought SplashID. Love it to death. I think there are a few freeware equivilants floating around... personally, I don't mind supporting the company and getting tech support in the event I need it. I fully recommend it.
Dont waste money on this. There are plenty of free programmes that work perfectly on the NX70. I use Yaps and Cryptopad.

I am using SplashID for several years now and can really recommend it. You can configure it and what is most important for me: It has a desktop too, therefore you can view and edit your passwords, PIN number etc. on PC and PDA.
You can also cut and paste those infos into other applications, especially into your web browser when you want to access you bank account etc.

I'm using Splash ID since 98 or 99. Never has let me down, in fact saved my life a couple of times! Desktop companion is great, also in terms of backup!!

CryptoPad (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&SID=80B62DAB-7E95-2C3D-79D39A82A497D5F9&PartnerREF=&prodID=5075) simply adds encryption to a MemoPad replacement. It also includes a desktop component. Certainly it offers nowhere near the level of configurability and flexibility of SplashID.http://images.palmgear.com/software/screenshots/160x160/5075.gif
Yaps (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&SID=80BA0CD6-CF18-ADC9-178FB2780A511BE1&PartnerREF=&prodID=9923) is slightly closer to SplashID in terms of functionality but still can't match the features. It offers a desktop viewer (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&SID=80BA0CD6-CF18-ADC9-178FB2780A511BE1&PartnerREF=&prodID=15490) for an additional fee ($9).http://images.palmgear.com/software/screenshots/160x160/9923.gif
As always, the best thing to do is give them a trial and see which best meets your needs. Good luck!

Oops, that was me above. One more thing: SplashData also has a very active discussion group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SplashData), which is great if you have questions, want to share suggestions, provide feedback, etc.

No voices for TealSafe? That's what I've been using and it seems fine. I haven't tried SplashData or SplashID. I will first need to figure out what the difference is between these...

I use Splash ID and Bahsoft's BankBook. I've used BankBook for a couple years and like it very much. The latest version is a bit buggy (i.e. the program no longer maintains the sequence of check numbers), but I still prefer over others.

There's also DES Store (http://cliesource.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodid=41909&catid=0). I don't know anything about it, but it's currently featured on Latest ClieSource News. It's also freeware.http://images.palmgear.com/software/screenshots/160x160/41909.gif

My vote is still for Cryptopad. If you want to encrypt notes, nothing else works as easily.

I agree, I use cryptopad and have had nothing but good luck.

Theres also secureit (freeware). I`m using it atm, and am reasonably happy with it... but its not be a killer app.

No desktop though you can export/import to memo. Pre-made and configurable templates are available.
(off to try DES store)

I've been happy with YAPS for years. Simple to use, but not the most configurable. All I care about is being able to put the pertinent information in categories, which is a snap in YAPS.
Just MHO. Your milage may vary.

Yeah, and they are charging current users $10 to upgrade... doesn't really tickle my fancy. I just bought SplashID a couple months ago, and now I have to shell out another $10 to get these features that should have been in the app to start with (IMO).

I think there are 2 extremes- one end is for lots of features, customizeable fields, etc. The other end is basically cut to the chase, encrypt memo type records.
I like it simple, so I use Cryptopad. It also doubles as a regular memo viewer, so you don't have to remember if you encrypted something or not. Before that I used YAPS, which was similar.

If you want both an ID app and a Money app, you might consider SplashWallet. You get both SplashID and SplashMoney, plus SplashShopper and SplashPhoto tossed in.

My vote for Password Plus. It has a simple, clean interface and very easy to use. I do like the conduit too, and the ability to input the passwords on your computer as well as on the Clie. I have used Yaps and, to my knowledge, is still free. If you're on a budget, it may be a good bet. I also have CryptoPad too, but not so much for passwords, although you could. I figure Yaps is made for passwords, and it's free, so why not use it? I thought the encryption, ease of use, desktop conduit, and ability to input passwords on the computer was worth purchasing Password Plus. I haven't used TealSafe or SpalshID, but from what I've read, them seem like good products as well. You should get one that has encryption and a desktop conduit...just my 2 cents.

Splash ID 3.0 is a free upgrade for current users. I purchased the previous version about six weeks ago and was able to obtain version 3.0 without being charged.

What about Keyring ?
It is free, opensource, offers strong encryption scheme and easy to use.

Oh, I'll go try now.
Are you sure you aren't just using the 30 day trial?

SplashID is not a free upgrade for everyone. Six weeks ago might have been close enough to the release date to get a free upgrade. I would have to pay $10 for version 3 since I bought it last year sometime.
SplashID is good. I like its well UI design, high customization, and hidden password input with both Graffiti and key input. I hate very much those so-called security (like Palm OS itself) that the password input is visible.
