Hi all

I just set-up a password for the 1st time on my NX73,
and now it keeps on bringing me back to standard graffiti input at each power on, i.e. it forgets my decuma pref.

Is it possible to delete the standard input app ?
Is this dangerous?

You really can't(safely) delete the input app.
Have you tried a soft reset? I haven't heard of this issue before you posted it.

thanks for your reply
yes I tried several soft resets, and it keeps on forgetting the decuma preference.
Well, I'll try to do without the built-in security

I dont think it uses any prefs when you use stuff like passwords ... I havent used Decuma before but what I feel is that all these are softwares and you can only use them when you are through the security ... Without that it probably wont let you use them to maintain security ... I think it is normal to do that ... :)

Wait, are you just looking for something that will force Decuma to be the standard VG on reboot? If so, then DefaultSilk is what you want.

However, it sounds like just powering on is making your Clie go back to the "standard" VG. If so, that's not right. Of course, you did mention security. I haven't tried this, but maybe the security pref requires the standard VG? You might want to give DefaultSilk (can't remember where I got it, so you'll need to search) a try and see if that helps.

yes, this does seem to solve the issue. I hesitated before installing DefaultSilk cause the only site I found is in japanese which I can't read.

Thanks a lot for the tip!
