I have taken several pictures with my nz90 and thought the camera program was saving them to the cf card I have in the slot.

I thought this because I have loaded the sony upgrades and cf utility. I was wrong. when I removed the cf card, the pic was not on the card and still on the clie.

I want to move the file to the cf card and then to my pc. How do I go about accomplishing this? can i get the camera to snap images directly to the cf card?

unfortunately no
one way is to have a memory stick and transfer the pictures from the memory stick to the CF card

another is to move the pdb files from the internal memory of the clie to the CF card, but you'll have to convert them from pdb to jpeg picture format

How do I get the pbd files to the cf card? I tried searching for the files using clie files but could not find them.

I do plan to buy a memory stick this weekend after I get paid on friday.

the picture files start with D____.pdb
they are in numbered sequence

I don't know if your problem persist..
but for me, when I insert CF card and use the camera.
the camera program will save it to *.TMP extention and not *.JPG as usual and still in memory stick..

You better check with file manager to look under /DSCIM directory to see if the files with *.TMP is there..

edit: sorry, after reread your thread again, I thought you use the memory stick... pls ignore... :D
