Maybe this is a question with an obvious answer, but I'm not sure.

I was checking out a UX50 today at Circuit City. Looks nice, but the screen is tiny and a bit flimsy.

Given the mixed reviews the UX50 has received, would an NX-80 be a fair trade for a UX50, or is there absoltely no comparison (UX50 superiour, I imagine)

Thanks for your perspective.

IMO, the NX80 and UX50 each have their own advantages and disadvantages. I don't think one is clearly better than the other, it just depends on what your priorities are (wireless, keyboard, camera, screen size, etc.). If you're considering swapping Clies with someone, it sounds like an even exchange if both parties are getting the features important to them.

i think a nx80 would only be a fair trade to a UX50 if you had a wifi card together with the NX80 for the trade. Otherwise, the Ux is definitely superior due to the wireless options.

If you're willing to lose your 1.3 MP camera, CF Slot, and BIG screen then I'd probably go for the switch. I really like the design and form factor of the UX50, but I just can't give up the 1.3 MP camera or the bigger screen. Also, I believe the UX50 might have better battery life due to the battery extension as well as their new "step" processor - but don't take my word for it, I haven't really looked into the details since the UX50 didn't suit my needs.

UX50 is like a portable keyboard with a screen IMO...

I feel that the cf card is worth having more so, just the added memory alone is worth keeping the NX80. I like the design of the UX but the downfall for me is that CF slot for my cards. makes all the difference to me. DD
