Amazing! Use iMovie to edit CLIE NX video!

Been playing around with the new iMovie3. Great app. And now if you have QT pro you can import any QT files, which includes MPEG4 clips captured with CLIE NX. I just did that to a clip I took awhile ago. The result is unbelievable! I remember some PC users were saying how great it is that you can edit NX video with a bundled video-editing app on a VAIO notebook. Wait till they see what iMovie 3 can do! You can use music from your iTunes library, pictures from your iPhoto library (even those you took with your CLIE!), add transitions and effects... I am a TV producer and I am impressed as hell! Exporting your edited video is easy as well, and I find the quality very acceptable even at low setting (try "web") and the file size is equal or less than the original MPEG 4 clip. I would love to post my little experiment to share with you, but I used a clip that is work-related and confidential, so I can't go public. Will try it with a clip that I can share publicly and when it's done I will post a url here!

it may take us a little while longer to get things going using sony and mac, but the wait is always worth it!!!!!:p

Looks like it works OK W/O QT Pro. Just make sure to change the file extension to ".mov".

If you're into easy editing, you might want to think about getting a Casablanca Avio or maybe even Kron. We have one at school (Kron) and it's amazing what a friend o mine can do with it! I personaly hate that thing since I've been using Premiere for some time now and can't work without a timeline, but for simple editing it's easy, high-quality and fast. Also it's based on the AmigaOS, just like my favourite OS (PalmOS has been developed off AmigaOS)

Problem is, I wasn't talking about Apple anymore. In fact I never used any of there products besides Adobe's Premiere (which is not really stable on Windows). Casablanca is a stand-alone system
