I cannot unzip files on the Clie anymore.

In the Palm/Launcher directory, when clicking on a zipped folder, I get the message "An error has occurred" while the app is trying to create the file list.

Any idea as to how to fix that problem?

reinstall the program

The app, as far as I know, is part of ClieFile in FlashRom. It cannot be reinstalled as such!
Unzip works fine after a hard reset.

Sorry:
I have an NX70V.

Are you saying that the 80 has zip built in?

Yes, you can dowload zipped files of the internet or the PC and unzip them straight from the NX80 into RAM or onto MS.

is this available for the NX70V?

Yes, you just need to go to the Sony update site, and there is an update to the Clie Files app, along with a number of other updates.

LOL, well I'm glad you've all discovered the unzip function, but I'm still stuck with my original problem, so I'll have to wait until you're all familiar with it before I can expect any help, I guess!

I got so caught up in learning a new feature I forgot to help! lol

Hmm...I have no idea why this wouldn't work anymore. Is it ONLY this particular zip file you have a problem with, or ALL zip files now in general?

All zipped files! Was working fine before, guess something in RAM is interfering with it, or I may have erased some files from RAM that the app needs to work properly. No idea. Works fine after a hard reset, but don't feel like reinstalling everything from scratch!

I know what you mean...reinstalling is a Bit*h. Just may be your only option though if you can't find a solution.

This is getting stranger: I've just realized that Unzip works in all folders except Palm/Launcher. Deleted and recreated the Launcher folder, but I'm still getting the same fault screen. Weird!

I never knew that Clie Files could do that either! Thanks for the info...unfortunately, I'm sorry I can't be of any help with your problem though. Maybe the Launcher folder doesn't allow you to unzip for some reason...or were you able to unzip in that folder before?

Meehn, this thread is quite funny. LOL Probablly some more quick tips for the *Power User*? ;) Whatfor adding new features on new machines, when *Power Users* don't use it LOL.

Sorry, back to the question:

Hm'it works fine in my Palm/Launcher folder on my CF. You checked the memory if there are similar PDBs like the Clie-Files and delete them? Or write protected Files/Dir (Check via Data Import - Win FileManager)?
