Did anyone else lose interest after figuring out how to get scores in the hundreds of thousands? After a high of somewhere near 300,000, I haven' really played Bejewelled much. Once you discover a "system", it's just not as fun...

what do you mean by "a system"? I know on the old version there were cheats to get extra points, but they don't work on the OS5 version.

123,480 on easy. I don't play timed. I usually top 70K fairly easily. Although the last couple of times I played I got no more moves in about 5-10 plays.

My girlfriends highscore on timed is 169830.

I've never seen here get anything below 90000.. and when she gets anything below 150000 it's always my fault, for breaking her concentration (According to her anyway).

I got 999999 in Timed Mode on my Pocket PC. My game was not over at 999999 points, but Diamond Mine was unable to save score higher than that.

I didn't use any trick, just plain good strategy. I will get a Clie to play this game to see how high I can get!

Here is my short strategy guide for this game.
In Easy Mode, start from top to bottom. Always consider the consequence when you swap the jewels, make sure your move will create the opportunity for the next move. Use the bottom half of the screen as lifesavers only, because they are the more "stable" jewels. The goal is to stay alive by keep making opportunities.

For Timed Mode, just looking fast is not enough, you might end up wasting time to find the next move randomly. A consistent strategy is required. Again, the bottom half of the screen are for the "stable" jewels. In the Timed Mode you want to clear off all the "stable" jewels first. When you run out of "stable" jewels, look up and start clearing the "dynamic" jewels on the top. You will soon run out of swappable jewels, and the last one or two moves are especially hard to find. Use the hint (?) button when necessary so you won’t run out of time.

Yeah the "hint" button is avaiable for Diamond Mine (Pocket PC version of Bejeweled). You can find it in my previous screenshot. I am not sure whether there is such a button in the Palm version.

I usually play while in the can, and pause while I'm out, so you could say that I play 2 times a day for about 5 to 10 minutes. The big trouble is when I'm sick. The times cand double or triple in just a snap, jejeje :)
