It is used as program storage, data storage. Think of it as a 29mb internal memory stick.

It's like a permanent 29 MB Memory Stick that's always installed. It's also uniquely selectable and does not interfere with the use of a real Memory Stick. It's a place to put your videos and pictures that can't be removed.
Bye.

its too small, but it is a nice feature. I couldnt get more than 6 songs on it. You'll still need a nice memory stick for it.

I have moved nearly all the apps onto the MS and STILL left with about 1.8 MB of free mem!!. What are the best tips to gain more free memory in the RAM?

Its helpful...
I tend to move FAVORITE apps to the internal MS now-- so that they are available with or without my actual memory stick.
Depending upon how you move stuff, you might have left items behind on the ram that go WITH the app. I use Zlauncher to handle moving stuff to the card, and have it automatically move the app AND related files. Using it, it can also make a shortcut --- so you can use the shortcut on one of the numerical hot key sequences. It also allows some apps to sync through the shortcut. I moved Avantgo to the card that way, and freed up over 2MB on that app alone!
Use a file manager to see what the owner tag for the files in ram are -- you might find some that could work from the Memory stick, and others that you couldn't see exist on the ram.

I can tell you some usefull things to do with the memory, if you ahve a memory stick for other media.
1. Themes, backgrounds and icons. Great to store all those in there and switch them quickly.
2. Educational references such as dictionary, thesaurse, etc
3. Other things that you use often, a very homework assignment you're working on, a few programs you use often, a few ebooks you're reading, etc.

I have 9.2MB worth of E-Books, some Pictures, some support files e.g. Themes, Icon Sets, Backgrounds for ZLauncher etc... Plus using the AliasExt area I have moved a bunch of apps out of Main memory! So now I have about 9MB of Main memory free and about 1MB of Internal memory free. Great idea tho it could be a little larger, like 64MB would be perfect! :D

Technically yes -- but you'll have to set it to sync to the card- And I'm not sure if you can point it at THAT card. But you could store it via shortcut and do the Modem sync manually, rather than on the Hotsync.

I tried to move Avantgo.prc to MS but it cannot work. Thus, I have the .prc in the RAM but all the info/data are stired directly to the MS..
