I just got a UX50 on a 30 day trial. It is everything everyone says it is. However, it does not do the one thing I need it to do...allow me to acces the webmail portal to Outlook at work as every time I try to open a window with an incoming message Netfront tells me it can't open a new window. I tried following the instructions on the CD which say to acept the error message and the new window will replace the existing one then to hit the back key to return to the calling window. Well, that doesn't work.

Any ideas? If I can get this to work, I will keep the UX otherwise I will return it and stick with my Vaio TR series (much bigger but I can get my email through wifi).

Assuming I keep the UX, I will register for the forum.

Thanks,
Fred

It think it depends on how the page codes the window calls.

There are some sites, like the webmail access I have to my personal domain, where NetFront can't handle the pages. The login page works fine from IE on Windows and leaves a blank 404 page in addition to opening the intended window in a new page (not tab) in Safari 1.0 on MacOSX. NetFront on my Clie gives the multiple window error but then fails to display the intended target window no matter what I do.

Other pages the open new windows work with NetFront as the instructions indicate. I get a slightly different error message than the failure, above, that will result in closing the first window and opening the new one successfully.

Well, I had to register in order to replyy. I am seeing exactly the same behavior as dwig described. Clearing the cache had no impact.

I have been playing around with the UX more and it really is very cool. Unfortunately, if I can't get to the webmail site it is hard to justify paying the price...alas.

Thanks for your help.
