Hi I am very new. Got my tg50 for xmaas and I'm still putting in address. Anyway
I went to record something and noticed it only recorded for 5 seconds at a time. Then I read I needed the memory stick.
What size mem stick do most of you use. and what is the appros price?

Hey. Well I'm using one 128 mb and one 64 mb stick. I'm using them mainly because I had them before I got my TG50 for x-mas also. My 128 can only hold about 6 songs though. Of course they are high quality. I have watched a good 1/2 of HGTV on my CLIE though taking up very little space. So, It depends how much audio/video stuff you want. And if the one you buy is to small for you, just put it on e-bay.

If your pocket stretches get a 512mb MS Pro. Photos, music, tons of documents, programs to free up RAM, umpteen Bibles, games.

Ladykat, you can record longer voice memos even without a memory stick, just go to the preferences page of the voice recorder app. Of course, having a memory stick gives you much longer record time...

for vids get a 256 or more. Audio: 128 or more. Docs/photos:64-128. Voice recording:64mb. If you want to do all of thouse things, then get a 256 or up.
I use a 64 mb MS card to record some clases ( small rooms) in SP mode it gives me around 90 minutes, the price for this MS is around 30 - 40 (depends on the brand and place you buy)
I guess that is a good size for my recording requiremets, If you need a MS card to watch videos or listen mp3 you will need at least a 128 card (price 80 - 120)

Watch TV ! Woa I really need to get into this pda I wish someone had oprah's birtday party on there mem stick LOL
Anyway I'll probably never listen to music on it.
Thanks for the tip on changing the amount of time I can record in the preference page I'm going to do that right now.
Sometimes when I'm in the car I like to record a message to myself. Before I got the tg50 I was even thinking about buying a recorder just to have in the car.
Thanks all.

I have (2) 256 MB Memory Stick Pro (1-SanDisk, 1-Sony) that I swap between my TG50 and Sony P10 Camera. I picked up the Sony Card off of eBay for $80 US and the SanDisk card from Circuit City (at the same time as my camera) for $89 (plus a $15 mail-in rebate). I have a bunch of Applications & MP3s on the main card for the TG50. To easily run most programs from the memory card (saving valuable internal RAM) you should look into investing in either PowerRun or zLauncher. Oh... and if you're lucky (like I was) you may even be able to access Flash memory on your TG50. Older models had about 5 MB of Flash that can be accessed with the program JackFlash. There is a JackFlash Light (it's free) that will let you know if you have Flash memory or not.
Hope my rambling helps....
