Toshiba will be launching a $199 Pocket PC in March. Compal will be producing the Toshiba e350 with the following specs; 300MHz XScale and 64MB RAM. Little else is known about the device. -- Geek.comAlso the Dell X3 is due out soon and should come in even below the e350. OK Sony, let's see some competitive prices (features I feel are already competitive)! Things keep going this direction and my next PDA (late this year) may well be a PPC.

I have too much invested in the PalmOS to just abandon it. I've tried a Pocket PC device (Compaq iPaq 3850) and it did have it's strengths until Sony caught up. Now with the OS5 devices, there is no need to get a PPC for it's "improved" multimedia capabilities.

Dell's next PPC will be released at $149... which is amazingly low for it's ability... the war is still going... before the end of this year there'll probably be PPCs at $100

I wouldn't switch OS for anything. But for $150, I would consider picking up an Axim just to play with. (I know, an expensive toy)

No matter how cheap they get, they'll still be running PPC OS, so there's no way I'd switch. I used to have a PPC, and I'd never go back.
