didn't the originals come with the remote for the mp3 controls? I meant that little unit with the buttons... anyone know where I can buy that?

The originals are also much shorter, making them more convenient with the remote. When you use normal headphones, you end up with a 6' long cable... sometimes longer.

You can get short cord headphones for in-line remotes. I use EX-71sl, the sl means the cord is short.

I hate the oringal headphone, is short and hurting my ears when I turn the bass on, so I got a Bose Triport Headphone.
