Case- I was very concerned yesterday. After the extremely scientific tap test, I could have swore the case was plastic. I just looked at the .pdf on Sonystyle and it says magnesium. There must be some space inside for it to have such a hollow "tunk". I feel better now about the "high ended-ness quality" and won't resort to a "hidden" edge shaving experiment...

Phone- In pref. there is a "phone" tab, open it and it lists "no drivers installed". What's that all about? Are we talking some sort of upgrade with a bluetooth headset and a wireless phone card? I'm intrigued that its there...

Picture quality- Yesterday was family reunion. I took two pics that were easily the best pics of people I've ever taken. One of my 86 yr old Grandpa who had no idea he was looking at a camera and a nice profile of my dad and his brothers in animated discussion. I'm gonna print the Grandpa one and distribute it to family members. The NZ is just "uncamera" enough to enable some candid shots, of course, if the flash goes off.... Upshot is, this beats the NX by far in camera usefulness and I'm glad i got it just for those two pics alone.

I've gotten better at putting it in the cradle. It takes some practice. I'm guessing after a couple of weeks I won't even think about it...

Picsel Viewer is buggy! It will not open frequently til you soft reset. After that it's fine. It's an amazing viewer with a slightly tricky interface. I loaded up a bunch of .pdf's for viewing. Works very nicely and quite handy for reference. A memory hog though, the core, viewer and language pack take up around 2 megs. 3 separate files, will try to throw it into "launcher" on the stick with zlauncher to see if it'll run there.

Acid Image doesn't generate thumbsfor the pics taken with the camera properly. They informed me they are already working on a fix.

The new keyboard is nice. I wish the keys were a little more rubbery. They are very smooth with not much edge to them. Much more room to fit your fingers though. The ultimate would be to light the keyboard...

Cases, cases, cases!!!!! I need something more elegant to carry this baby around! Belt clip, 5 (not 3) credit card slots, a slot for money (though it's all gone right now!!),the WLAN card and two memsticks. Vaja has a nice universal case thats close but i don't think quite long enough. Patience< I guess!!!

Bottom line- if you have the 200 extra clams , get the NZ....

Thanks for the info. I'd be very interested to find out which apps work when installed on the memory stick - I hate to load anything directly on the clie itself, since it has so little memory....

Read the SMS thread for info on how to get the driver for a phone; I use my NZ via bluetooth with a T-Mobile T68 phones. Works great!

I got a very nice case form Ritz Camera. It is mada by Quantaray. It holds the NZ, cradle, head phones, WiFi card and memory sticks and isn't too big.

Here are some pics (taken with the NZ of course :D )

It looks like a camera case to me. Don't seems to blend in well for the Nz90. Is like putting a pretty flower in a doggy bag.
