nz or nx

hello,
I am a new member. I am quite a clie fan although i have yet to purchase one. I was almost certain of buying the T665 and last week i thought i would splurge and get an NX70. But i found out that all the stores in Kuala Lumpur have virtually ran out of NX70. Then I saw the NZ90 advert which i think is cool although a little big. I am really impressed with the 2.0 mega pixel camera and that means i dont have to lug my cybershot PS 2 around. However,I am a novice pda user. Do you guys think I should get an NX70 (which costs Ringgit Malaysia 2188) since the NZ90 (which costs Ringgit Malaysia 2888) is coming to the Malaysian shores pretty soon.

Both are excellent PDAs, so all this choice should depend on are your finances and your tastes. You'll be VERY happy with either.

Unless you have need for the better camera and bluetooth, you are better off with the NX. I also think the NX will soon be seeing at least a moderate price drop.

I agree the NZ is one of the finest PDA's out there. But the NX is the same machine minus the bluetooth and better camera. I would also mention that the keyboard is better on the NZ.

If you have no need for the camera at all, then the NX60 is even a better choice. For sure besides the initial lower price, it will be even more of a price drop candidate than the ZX.

Other features that you get with the NZ over the NX:
- brighter screen
- removable battery
- very portable cradle (folds flat)
- External PDA buttons so you can easily switch apps in tablet mode

If you get the NX, be sure to get the latest software upgrade from Sony; they've addressed some important issues. Look here:

Don't forget that Sony will be releasing a next gen NX in the coming months (if you can wait that long).  The only improvement that I know will exist will be compatibility with existing KB11 external keyboards, but I am sure there will be others.  I have a strong feeling that it will have integrated BT.  And who knows what else?!

I don't know what your feelings are on the NZ, but if you were going to be buying an NX70 right now, I'd wait a couple of months and see what the newer NX has to offer.  If you don't like it, you'll most certainly get a better price on the NX70 after its next gen is released.

I'm having the same issue, but just to complicate things, everywhere i've compared the specs of the NZ90, NX70 and NX60 says that the NX60 is thicker (depth) then the NX70.

Can anyone confirm this please?

They looked the same to me when I compared them in the store. The only difference was the 60 had no camera.
