Sony has just announced that the SJ33 will be available in the U.S. in a few weeks. This model includes an integrated MP3 player and a design targeted to appeal to younger users.

Great review.
I have a question though. Is Kinoma bundled in the ROM now? Is this the first unit they've done this with? If it is in the ROM, then it's great news that user's won't have to deal with the confusion of gMovie anymore. I feel like gMovie is basically incompatible with many of the features on these newer handhelds.

Yes, gMovie is history. Kinoma comes in the SJ33's ROM. It isn't the latest version, though. I think it's 1.1, not 1.5.

Shouldn't be a loss. As far as I understand the only thing 1.5 adds is support for OS5 devices.

The only negative I see is the flip cover. If it will not flip over any further than shown and it is not removable I think that it could be a problem when using the keyboard accessory..... especially as time wears the hinge...

For Canadian viewers, the SJ33 is up on SonyStyle.ca and is priced at $499.99 Canadian. That's the same price as the T665 is currently listed at and the same original price for the SJ30 if memory serves. That's typical of Sony's markup from US to Canadian prices. Plus, it's not easy to find a discounted Canadian price, unlike the US. Sigh.
No availability date yet.
I expect that the new T series will come in at $600-700 Canadian because the NR70 starts at $800.

OK, turns out the flipcover is removable. You just have to use more force than I was willing to do so. I was afraid I was going to break it. However, I finally steeled my nerves and twisted it off and had no problems.
I've updated the review.
