I got my NZ Friday morning. I love this thing!
I am just wondering what people think about mine having a dead pixel. I only seem to notice it on a blue-ish background (it's a white pixel).
Is it worth sending this one back and get another one? What is acceptable in terms of dead pixels on the screen? What I do want to avoid is getting another and it also has a dead pixel or even more than one.
Any thoughts?

I'd return it... 1 pixel is acceptable to most vendors.

I still like buying in BestBuy so when problems come like that dead pixel, I can easily return it for replacement.

isnt it more than not that these screens will have a dead pixel or two? what i DO NOT want to happen is returning this unit, having to recharge a new unit for 4 hous, then (hopefully not) if the new one has a dead pixel also then i have to return that one and round and round i go. from what I have read, it seems to be more common to have a dead pixel (thank god this is only visible on blue backgrounds) than not.

I would return it anyway....you might go round and round a few times, but in the long run it would be worth it.
I would be really pissed after spending all that $$$$ to hava a dead pixel. I discovered a dead pixel on my nx and returned it immediately. That stupid dead pixel was what I noticed every used the machine.

i had a dead pixel on my NX70

only noticed when playig movies, but still annoyed me for the money we spend it should be perfect

also one dead pixel on a laptop is ok for me because there is so much space but on such a small screen as a pda it is not acceptable

if i buy a new one and swap out the battery i have already charged for 4 hours into the new unit, i would not have to re-charge for 4 hours, just put in the already charged battery and turn the new unit on? is that OK to do?

Normally, they'll require you to include all parts in the packing especially if that was purchased online. You have to check with them first.

Ooops! You said if you buy a new one! I thought you'll send it back for replacement. Sorry!

I want to be satisfied for that amount of money! Sony fixed my 665 under warranty and had it fixed and returned in about a week. My experience with Sony support so far is very good. But as far as your unit....return it and get another.
